The Wonder Of It All, Heartsfield's second album, is just as great as the first. The band continues its special blend of country and rock from a Chicago-area perspective, blending the influences of the Eagles, Poco, New Riders Of The Purple Sage, the Allman Brothers Band, Pure Prairie League, and many other artists, while creating something uniquely their own. Along with Marshall Tucker and the Outlaws, Heartsfield influenced the 90s ''jam bands'' which, along with grunge, killed off ''hair band'' rock. If you love Tucker and the Outlaws, you'll love Hearstfield.
