Everything here is truly original. Nothing like this has been done before. Gentle English pastoral themes, incredibly tastefully done mixed with hard rock and touches of early prog. It's truly a historical record, marking the transition from psychedelic to prog. Philips' contribution is evident throughout: a simple chord, just a masterly feather touch here and there is enough to lift the music to another level. And Peter's flute breaks are outstanding. All in all, a remarkable achievement, which should not necessarily be compared to later records, as it is quite unique in style. Do not miss this based on reviews by people who simply do not get it.
